The kindergarten at France Prešeren Črenšovci Primary School in Slovenia just received a gold award for the project called »Our apples«.  Here they emphasised eco production, home made jams, and presented it all at the Celje Fair.

Here they describe it in their own words:

“On Saturday, 17 March 2018, we presented our works at the Altermed Fair in Celje with the eco-project under the motto “Our apples”. At the fair, we demonstrated how our eco-kindergartens and eco-schools, through different activities of the curriculum, stimulate attitude towards health, the understanding of  health as a value through vitality and balanced nutrition, as well as physical activity, mutual relations and a safe child’s environment.

We presented our experience in working with children on the subject of “Our apples”, which is close to children, relevant, accessible and encourages us to get acquainted with old, indigenous and ecological fruits and trees. We also spoke and got to know old traditional words in the Prekmurje Slovene (rengla, legvar), and because Roma children are included in the kindergarten, we used and wrote words in Romani as well. ”
